16-YEAR OLD GUITAR PHENOM YAYO SANCHEZ TO EMBARK ON FIRST EVER TOUR
It is not uncommon for an artist to spend years yearning to meet and play music alongside their idols regardless of the level of success that they achieve. This is not the case with Austin, TX guitar sensation Yayo Sanchez. At just 14, Sanchez was playing guitar at the Rock N' Roll Fantasy Camp alongside long time Kiss guitar player Bruce Kulick who would eventually play on Yayo's first EP The Demos that was released in 2008. Now 16 years old, he has also jammed with idols Slash and Paul Stanley while citing other influences from Metallica to Thin Lizzy to Motely Crue. With influences like these it should come as no surprise that Sanchez has crafted a sound that catches listeners' ears immediately with his guitar playing and keeps them interested by embodying the rock n' roll spirit.
Despite so many achievements at such a young age Sanchez has missed out on one major part of rock n' roll until now - the road. Sanchez's band that simply goes by his first name YAYO and also features Aaron Altounian (guitar/bass) and Peyton Burns (drums) is set to embark on its first ever tour kicking off on May 1 in San Antonio, TX. The tour has been dubbed the Wreckless Tour 2009 and will feature YAYO as well as Brake Vegas on all dates. The tour will take YAYO through the western United States and through such touring staples as Seattle, San Francisco, and, of course, a home town show in Austin.
With regards to the Wreckless Tour 2009 Yayo says, "What I'm looking forward to most about my first time on the road is getting to meet fans and gain new fans." Yayo views this tour as only the beginning of what he hopes will be a long and successful career. "It would be great to play music for a living," he says, "we don't have to be millionaires, but if we can live comfortably that'd be a killer achievement."

NEBULA TO RELEASE PEEL SESSIONS COMPILED FROM BBC RECORDINGS
Nebula's upcoming BBC/Peel Sessions features tracks culled from the BBC's John Peel sessions and a Radio One Rock Show session recorded between 2002 and 2004. The album will be released in the United States via the Sweet Nothing imprint on Cargo Records UK on January 13, 2009. Featuring the line up that recorded the first two classic Nebula album To The Center and Charged these recordings demonstrate why Nebula were regarded as pioneers of the late 90's/00's stoner rock scene.
Los Angeles based trio Nebula is comprised of Eddie Glass (guitar/vocals), Tom Davies (bass/vocals), and Rob Oswald (drums).
It all started when Glass and friend Neil bender were making weird 4-track music for skate movies like Alien Workshop's first video. He then went on to drum for Olivelawn and later played guitar with Fu Manchu, writing songs and playing guitar on the band's first three albums. In 1997, Glass decided it was time to use the whole arsenal - guitars, drums, Moogs, sitars, the jug, and formed Nebula.
Bassist Tom Davies came to the United States from England in 2004 to join the Nebula ranks and with the recent addition of Rob Oswald (Karma To Burn/Mondo Generator) in early 2007, Nebula is reigniting the fires started in 1997. Five albums later - one on Relapse Records, two on Sub Pop, several EP's on Meteor City, and now the long gone Mans Ruin and a long list of records through Cargo Records UK via the Sweet Nothing imprint, Nebula continues it's long ties with the extreme sports community. The band's songs are regularly featured in soundtracks to movies, TV shows such as "Viva La Bam" and "Monster Garage" as well as video games such as Tony Hawk's Underground 2 and NHL 2007.
After appearances at the X Games in Los Angeles and the Sunset Junction Festival, numerous tours in Europe, Australia, South American, and the United States with the likes of Mudhoney, J Mascis & The Fog, and The Hellacopters, Nebula have recently returned from a month long tour of the UK and will continue to tour as long as God and man are willing.

1912 RECORDS ANNOUNCES THREE NEW RELEASES
The American Black Lung
www.myspace.com/theamericanblacklung
The American Black Lung started in Tucson, Arizona in 2003 as a group of friends paying homage to the godfathers of high energy rock n' roll. The band quickly escalated into more than just a kickback to "the good ol' days." Despite having their fair share of hard times it is undeniable that The American Black Lung has become its own entity: a living, raging soul that will never die.
The American Black Lung like all of the rock n' roll brethren in the desert city of Tucson, encompasses the very aura of the desert with their music, abundance surrounded by desolation. Good times while in a state of recession and uncertainty, good friends and no worries in a time where people are slowly but surely retreating to their homes and abandoning community altogether. In short The American Black Lung is about Good Vibrations.
While borrowing their sound partly from 60's British rock and 80's American hardcore there is no doublt that they have brewed up something special and unique here. The perfect blend of The MC5, Black Flag, Rage Against The Machine, and The Who, The ABL refuse to set their style in stone as they grow and mature with each album. The latest Good Vibrations, is a 7"/CD combo and is being put out by their neighbors down the road 1912 Records.
Nothing has stood in the way of this rock n' roll machine, and it is safe to say The American Black Lung is here to stay. Keep an eye out for their record in stores November of this year!
Blues
www.myspace.com/lettherockfuckyou
Since their inception in Tucson, AZ in 2004, Blues has been a tight knit family focused on friendship and brutal, catchy tunes. In the past four years and two proper releases, these five dudes have seen their share of the country, not just the desert. While touring with best friends and label mates The American Black Lung, they leave a memorable legacy wherever they go. Their shows and records consist of a classic twist of modern brutality blended with shaping sounds like Both, Breather Resist & Every Time I Die, and a nice Black Sabbath and Jesus Lizard undertone.
The best part about this band is that when you think they are starting to hit their full-potential, when you think they pushed the envelope as far as it can go they blow your mind by revealing even more raw talent and cultivated musicianship. Their live show is a fortress of amps and a sea of sharp and elegant vocals swaying over any who dare to watch.
This outfit of south-western brutal artists grow and mature with each show and each album, their latest Snakepit on vinyl (a crazy colored and heavy weight vinyl) is being put out by their neighbors down the road...1912 Records. Their highly envied heavy sci-fi is available for free download on their Myspace and a proper release is right around the corner on the same in vinyl, digital, & CD formats. Nothing can stop the Blues machine. Comes see them on tour this year and get their new unprecedented vinyl, Snakepit.
Long Live The Smoking Gun
Longlivethesmokinggun.com
Long Live The Smoking Gun is one of the few bands in the 21st century that still carries the torch of rock n' roll. While making a witches brew of 60's rock, a splash of Black Flag era hardcore, and a full bodied dose of southern metal they come up with a self-proclaimed heavy rock n' roll breed dubbed "Western Rock N' Roll." Think of Johnny Cash & Tom Waits doing a record with Pantera. It's not only the pounding rhythm section and bright leads that take you to the Southwest and the un-nurturing desert, it's the gutteral yet melodic vocals and lyrical content. LLTSG have brought it upon themselves to stray away from the popular current of relational, watered down lyrics of the radio and focus on bringing up real problems and solutions they see I their generation as well as interpreting and giving new light on old literature. They are a group of guys that are just as much influenced by their varied musical up bringings as they are by their barren desert surroundings. There is no rest for the weary in the desert; the scalding sun during the day and coyotes at night.
2008 has treated LLTSG well, as the band did a few regional tours and recorded an EP for 1912 entitled We Build Empires that has created quite a buzz for such a humble beginning. With We Build Empires out now and tours under their belts, LLTSG will nefver stop traveling and sharing their love for the people and musc whil writing and recording thunderous roots records with challenging ideas. 2009 will seem them on the road for most of the year with a 10"/digital package of We Build Empires to be released in Janaury on 1912 Records. And a brand new release - a 7"/CD combo entitled This Is A New Era.

Press Quotes:
"My Ruin don't do things by halves. It's all or nothing and you'll either love or hate this fearsome return. We'd bet the former." 4/5 Steve Beebee - Kerrang Magazine
"A heavy dose of Southern rock, an unforgiving slab of hardcore and more hard rocking melodies than you can shake a stick at. For anyone who thought My Ruin were just another generic female fronted metal band, stick 'Throat Full..." in your player and prepare to be surprised. From the opening thunder of 'Ready For Blood' to the sudden ending of 'Through The Wound' this band just gets better and better." 8/10 Natasha Scarf - Metal Hammer Magazine
"With every new record, the band becomes like a prize fighter locked in a gym pumping weights all day. Muscle builds on muscle until the fighting machine is an unstoppable force. My Ruin's new CD Throat Full of Heart is a nuclear right hook that combines the culmination of years of experience along with their unquenchable thirst for release through the power of metal. It's tough to imagine My Ruin sounding any better than this." 5/5 Morley Seaver - AntiMusic.Com
"There is something truly deep and heartfelt about this record, more so then anything that My Ruin has produced before. There is something more mature about the sound but yet it has lost none of its edge, or its evocative strength or most importantly its honesty and that is what makes My Ruin's music a cut above the rest." 12/13 Alana King - Room Thirteen.Com

FAIRMONT POISED FOR INDIE GREATNESS WITH NEW ALBUM TRANSCENDENCE DUE OUT OCTOBER 14
"Life begins on the other side of despair." - Jean Paul Sartre_
The end of 2007 showed no love to indie rockers Fairmont after the release of their 4th full length Wait and Hope. It seemed the NJ natives faced setback after setback. The record was not received well by critics, they lost their distribution deal, dealt with a bizarre stalker situation that ended with the parting of a long time member, faced tornadoes on tour, and struggled to keep their heads above the water financially. The future of the band was uncertain for remaining members Neil Sabatino and Andy Applegate.
Inspired by a longtime friend and roadie, Sabatino began work on Fairmont's newest album TRANSCENDENCE. Beginning with the tale of a dysfunctional childhood in the Spiritualist Church, the track "Being and Nothingness" tells of mediums predicting the imminent end of the world and deals with his aftermath of such a unique start. "Omaha" offers a glimpse into the nightmarish tour that almost crushed Fairmont last summer.
Although TRANSCENDENCE contains both biographical and autobiographical material, it is well imagined as the soundtrack to a film that was never made. There is a definite progression of character detailing personal dramas and love lost and found, through an evolving set of repeating themes that culminate with the climactic reprise of one of the album's most memorable melodies.
To help shape his creative vision, Sabatino enlisted the help of keyboardist Christian Kisala, formerly of the Immortal Records band "The Finals." Kisala helped round out the sound of the band by filling both the bass spectrum and adding synth leads and pads. Clancy Flynn, who recently recorded with Ours, adds violin, viola and cello, as well as backing vocals, furthering musical comparisons to bands such as The Doors, The Who, Mates of State and Sea Wolf.
In 2008, Fairmont headed into the studio with former Hit Factory producer Bryan Russell (Envy on the Coast, Straylight Run.) Recording at Red Wire Audio in Brooklyn, NY, the band invited Teeter Sperber (Ladybirds) back to sing guest vocals. Suzie Zeldin and Charlie Seich from the band The Narrative added additional vocals and euphonium, respectively. Russell and Matt Zugale (The House of Leaves) contributed to the group vocals on "Being & Nothingness" and "Melt Your Heart."
TRANSCENDENCE tells a story, both about its central character and about Fairmont itself, but it doesn't end when the music is over. To complete the experience, the band has placed hidden links inside their website artwork leading to information like what inspired lyrics on the album, music that inspired the band, what famed spiritualist medium Elwood Babbitt is saying at the end of the song "Nowhere, Mass," and the short story that the album was formulated around.
Please visit www.fairmontmusic.com or www.myspace.com/fairmont for current tour dates.

DEAR LIFE SIGNS TO UPRISING RECORDS; DEBUT ALBUM FRAMEWORK DUE OUT JUNE 24
Hacienda Heights, CA quintet Dear Life has signed with Uprising Records and is set to release their debut album Framework on June 24. Since solidifying their line up in 2004, Dear Life has emerged as a clear front runner to become one of the next successful hardcore/metal bands. It is the band's dedication and ambition that has allowed them to rise to their current status and will help them to continue their success.
It was their shared belief that music can deeply impact a person that brought founding members Vince Apostol (guitar), Matt Apostol (drums), and Daniel Moran (guitar) together to form Dear Life. The addition of vocalist Kevin Castellon and bassist Mike Trujillo in 2004 rounded out the band's line up and Dear Life was ready to move forward full steam ahead. Since 2004, the band has earned themselves spots on tours with Arsonists Get All The Girls (Century Media) and Catherine (Rise) and more recently shared the stage with the likes of such heavy hitters as Every Time I Die and Chiodos.
Framework showcases Dear Life's attention to their songwriting and the blending of their influences to create a sound that is truly their own. "All of us in the band enjoy all kinds of genres and I think it shines through in our music," says guitarist Vince Apostol of Dear Life's influences. The album is chock full of heavy riffs, breakdowns, and group sung choruses. To help capture the band's unique sound and passion for their music Dear Life brought in Roger Camero (The Warriors, No Motiv) to record and produce the album and Paul Miner (New Found Glory, Thrice, Atreyu) to do the mixing and mastering on the album.
With their debut album ready for the masses Dear Life has no plans of slowing down. The band has already got their touring schedule for the next few months loaded with what are sure to be more notable accomplishments including current dates with Comeback Kid and then performances at Bamboozle Left in Irvine, CA and Spring Breakdown Fest in San Bernardino, and tours with Dillinger Escape Plan and The Bled. With the stars aligned for Dear Life it appears that the sky is the limit for their success.

WICHITA ROCKERS BLACK GASOLINE IGNITE WITH DEBUT, SHE GAVE US MAGIC; WINTER TOUR ANNOUNCED
Wichita rockers Black Gasoline don't claim to be reinventing the wheel with their debut album She Gave Us Magic. The quintet is simply looking to create alterations to the current wheel spinning in rock n' roll with heavier grooves and more riffs. Black Gasoline draws influence from classic and current bands such as Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, and Nebula. She Gave Us Magic shows the band's dynamic range of talent from the garage rocker "A.C.T.I.O.N" to the groove-heavy "A Ghost Is The Highway" and the Clutch-esque "All Night."
As is evident on She Gave Us Magic, Black Gasoline works as a cohesive unit not as five separate members. From front man Bobby Comfort's soulful vocals to guitarist Paul Deceglie's riffs to keyboardist/guitarist Lovell Hickman's subtle harmonic pads, and the backbone rhythm section of bassist Scotty Badhart and drummer Kendall Newby the band would clearly be lacking without any one of its members. With many bands laced with attitudes and egos today, it is refreshing to hear new music that truly represents the saying "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts."

Thursday, December 27 - The Sound Pony - Tulsa, OK w/Rainbows Are Free
San Francisco punk n' rollers The White Barons have teamed up with their Swedish cohorts Dead City Rockers for the release of a split 7" single on January 8, 2008 on Champagne And Cocaine Records which is run by White Barons front woman Eva Von Slut. The single features the White Barons' "Logical Conclusion," a scorcher about sex, drugs, and rock and roll, and the Dead City Rockers' side features the sardonic "I Wanna Be Poor." Both bands will be celebrating the release on January 17, 2008 at Bottom Of The Hill in San Francisco.
The White Barons, fronted by burlesque dancer and ex-Insaints, current all-girl psychobilly band Thee Merry Widows singer, Miss Eva Von Slut, bring driving punk n' roll from all angles with a dash a psychobilly for good measure. After forming in 2006 the Bay Area quartet released their debut album Up All Night With The White Barons on Gearhead Records.
Dead City Rockers hails from the land of reincarnated garage rock that is better known as Sweden. The band is following in the steps of fellow Swedes The Hives and The Hellacopters in their attempt to invade American soil with their raw, upbeat punk rock.
When asked about releasing a single on vinyl in an age when many new music fans don't even know what a 7-inch is Von Slut said, "I sure do know records are a thing of the past but I am still a record collector nerd so I still pump 'em out."
Champagne and Cocaine Records is proud to be committed to putting out high-quality vinyl in the digital age.
